Tracking- The Groundwork

Welcome to our beginning Course in tracking. Here you and your dog will begin to learn how to find the trail. In eight weeks, your dog will be following a trail with multiple turns in a grassy area. This will give you years of fun adventures! Or, you will have the opportunity to continue with us to complete your foundation. We start with a weekend seminar for the hands-on experience. We follow this with our eight-week online course which includes homework to keep you expanding your trails and knowledge. The first and third Tuesday of the month we also have Live sessions to keep you moving forward. Approximately 8 weeks after seminar there will be a scheduled time for the group to take the Groundworks Evaluation and expand your training a bit more! 24 total hours for this course. This course is also available privately- working one on one with trainer. There will be an extra cost. Or... The Response

Join the adventures on the trails! This fusion course is your second in the set of three courses to give you all the foundation for years of success tracking. This course you will work on trails and begin to learn how to respond to your dog and work with them as a team. Your trails will expand in length and in age. We begin this adventure with a two-day seminar and continue with our online course. There are 2 Live sessions a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday to answer questions and keep you moving forward on the trails. You must take the Groundwork course or demonstrate your team has the basics of tracking to sign up for this course. In this course we hit the trails! Our trainings will take us to parks in the area to work new surfaces, new distractions, and increase your strength as a team! At the end of the 8 weeks we will meet once more for evaluations and training! This course is limited to 6 dog teams each session. A total of 34 hours of training. The Reliance

Here the the trails lead us to urban areas. The Last of our three fusion courses to complete your foundation. The two-day seminar running 9-5 both days, followed by 8 online classes, and a scheduled 6-hour session for evaluation and review. And, yes, we will have our Live sessions here as well the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month! You must take Groundworks and Response course to sign up for Reliance. Only 6 dog teams in each course to give you the time to train and get the support you need. The online course will include 4 private zooms with trainer- these will be scheduled after sign up. 6 slots open every session. Traveling Tracking Trainers

We are traveling to different locations to train you in your environment. Kinda like a seminar, but we will be in a new location every day. You can sign up for one day or multiple days (at checkout you will have to do each day separately). Most of the events will be in urban settings, but you can request the type of training, or the location if you have 4 or more interested in the same thing. Our first travels for 2025- two dates in February. Check for locations and dates on our calendar. I hope to train with you soon!

The Wild

The Wild is a 4-month course expanding our trails into the wilderness. We will work on reading your dog without boundaries. When there is no street, trail, building to use as a marker. Learning to read your dog in this setting and responding quickly to stay on task. This course will begin in large open fields, we will work trail systems where the subject breaks off trail, and finally wilderness areas with no trail. We will learn to read the dog when working air scent to actual tracking, raising your trust in what your dog is doing to find the subject. Our trainings will take place in Whatcom County. A total of 88 hours of training in four months! 72 hours are actual hands-on training with small group. online course and Live sessions complete the hours. Keep Strong

Keep Strong is a 12-month course- yes, all year! We will begin the year reviewing foundation. Next we will move to the wilderness- finding trails with no boundaries. Next back to urban to work distance and age. Then relying on the trust of our dogs and even more so- the trust of your team to double blind searches. This will move us into Call Out ready scenarios putting your team to the test! Ending our year with celebration and a Keep Strong evaluation! There are 8 online lessons, monthly Live sessions and 12 training days here in Bellingham. Trainings are every other month for the weekend. Only want to do this course online? <> Next sign up 2025! Beyond

Beyond is a course to set you up for success in the field. Yes, many take this course to prepare for national certifications, yet that is not the only reason to sign up. If you are looking for a course that will help you stay on track in your growth as a team, prep you to be call out ready, and give you the tools to train with versatility- this is your course. This is a 6 month+ course strengthening your set of tools for success as a tracking team. My goal is that you train and learn AND FEEL CONFIDENT working as a team in many different areas. In this course you will receive a minimum of 140 hours of training. Training includes- 8 online classes. Weekly Live sessions with group for Q & A. Then most important part- team trainings here in Bellingham. 112 hours of team trainings to make sure you get the hands-on work you need for success. We meet 7 times for 2-days. This course will be a challenge. You will work blind and double-blind problems. You will work multiple surfaces and many environments. We will age tracks up to 24 hours and complete tracks up to a mile. We will work together for the success of all, and to meet your individual goals. This course is designed to prepare you for what lies ahead! Strengthening your team to be ready for the callout! The Reboot Beyond or Wild

DETECTION Seminar

November 14-16, 2025. We are going to give some of you something to do in the colder months, and for the rest of you that already work a detection dog bring your hides and let's go do some searching! Friday will be a box day for those that have not searched before- we will work on scent specific articles. Saturday and Sunday are for all! We will have a few different locations to giving you lots of different areas to work. What does your dog detect? My Short Story

I have been working dogs since 2005. I have taught obedience, detection, and tracking classes.  I was a SAR handler for 14 years, a narcotics handler for 9, and I worked as a bomb dog handler for two years. Now as K9 Track NW owner and trainer, I hope to train with you. My wish is to show you just how amazing your dog can be.
